Sometimes going through things alone can be scary. Whether is be experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, anger or feelings of low self-esteem, it's still difficult to express how those issues are affecting you. First off it's hard enough for you to even understand how you really feel, nevermind talking to others about it. It's just hard, and more than anything, it's uncomfortable and unknown.
In Individual counseling, this is what we talk through. In a safe and supportive environment, we take a look at the things that are weighing you down, we talk through it, we look at the core issues behind them, and we ultimately empower and strengthen your ability to let go, change and forge ahead.
Together we will work in honest and open communication, putting into action the necessary changes that will dismantle the irrational and negative thought patterns that are keeping you in that "clogged" space in your life. Sometimes we need someone to help us unplug and remove that sticky, nasty, gook from our mind and our bodies.
There are times when family or a significant other, just to name a few, will need to be apart of this process.
Collaboratively we will work together to gain insight into where the frustration lies, whether it's feelings of not being heard or respected, or trying to understand why you're growing apart. Family dynamics are tricky, in every family. Finding what is missing within yours will help to reconnect the parts that may have become detached.
